Hello all This my first time doing a build like this - very much enjoying it, and the quality is excellent. I figured there is going to have to be some organisation for all the parts; to keep them safe over the next two years. Ikea came in very handy The binder was delivered with the third delivery. Build up to issue 5Build up to issue 9 note: Issue 6 requires 4 black 6mm screws supplied with issue 5 note: Issue 8 does advise to use the silver screws from issue 7 to secure the frame ring... However, these are two long. The official build diary on here, explains that you should use the shorter silver screws supplied with issue 5. Quite a lot to do between issues 6 and 9, and it is great to see the dome taking shape. It's very sturdy - I think when this build is completed, R2 will be quite heavy! (reassuringly) I can't believe how excited I was when I picked up these 4 issues from the post office, couldn't wait to fit the parts, and read over the mags. (young 45 year old here). Enjoy the build guys. When is the next delivery?

Hi, Good to see another R2 underway. B+Q also do a range of large storage boxes at a reasonable price, but that IKEA one looks great for starting out and storing parts at later stages. Look forward to seeing your build progress and in the meantime CONGRATS on your "BLUE" medal for starting a diary. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Very pleased with another delivery Issues 10-13 completes another section of R2's dome frame, it also comes with a stand, I am sure will really help when fitting the electronics into the dome. We also see a rigid frame piece for the right leg that we have been working - this certainly is going to be rather heavy build when completed. Pretty quick build this month, or maybe I am just getting better?

You are right Stuk, the build does seem to be going quicker, most of my time is spent taking the pics, and trying to think of some tips in helping with the build. But I have to admit it is looking good, and as you say pretty sturdy and heavy If you build it he will come Built - Eaglemoss 3D Printer. That is a good looking storage box. Never been to an ikea in my life so its really good having forums such as this to see what others seek out. Had a look on the web site the other day as seen they do a very reasonable and popular glass display cabinet. Havefun with the rest of your droid build. Happy Modelling

Issues 14-21 completed The right leg is really coming along nicely, once it's fitted together, it's really quite sturdy. The quality is fantastic - very pleased with it so far
