Hi! So far I've only completed a small scale Artesania Latina ship (and it took 3 years what with work as well!) so this is my first large scale ship. Saw a family member working on theirs over Christmas and so decided to give it a go myself. I'm expecting to make lots of mistakes but thought I would start a diary of the build...if nothing else to keep me focused on completing it! I had to wait a long time to get pack 1 hence the reason I have completed the pinnace, cutter etc from pack 12 whilst I was waiting. Wish me luck!

Welcome Rabbit, Looks good. One piece of advise: Resize your pics to a maximum of 650 pixels wide and they will appear as pics and not downloads. Now congrats on your "Blue" medal for starting a diary. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

Thanks all.
Is it wrong to be considering buying a second ship whilst this one is still in the early stages?! Building is becoming seriously addictive!

You certainly wouldn’t be the first 😁 Sometimes it’s good to do a bit to another kit. Helps hone your skills and gives a bit of variety. If you want another ship kit, The Wasa is proving popular, but also look at the Constitution, Soleil Royale or Santisima Trinidad All great builds Gray

I must admit the Vasa has caught my eye (love the history behind this short-lived ship) but then so has the Soleil Royal. I may have to have a house clearout to make room to receive more boxes....
