BigGrin Thanks for the support guys Cool

I made a start on this build last night Cool the gun was cut out and dry fitted to gage the size for the deck it's going to sit on Cool . The deck was made up out of some 3mm light ply and some spare decking planks Cool . While it was drying I started gluing the gun together Cool . I found the wheels stuck out to far from the carriage so adjusted the axles. Next job fitting the barrel and trunnions to the carriage . I have left the trunnions a bit long but will trim them to size later. Today I plan to make the gunwales on the front of the deck Cool
Thanks for looking

Hi Arek the carriage is made of walnut ply and are very delicate Blink but quite easy to sand and file Cool

BigGrin Cheers for the feedback guys Cool
Lots of work done on the 4pdr the bulwarks have been fitted to the deck and a few bits and pieces glued to the side Cool along with the eye bolts for the tackle.
The gun was finally attached to the carriage and the trunnion caps fitted. Next job placing the eye bolts in the right position and making the breaching rope . The rope was made with my ropewalk to get the right thickness. It was then fitted to the rear of the gun . A small bit of card was cut out and painted silver to look like lead that cover the touch hole on the real gun
Next step making the blocks for the outhaul and Inhaul tackles. The blocks were made off 1x1mm walnut strip. A hole was drilled through and small hooks fitted. The blocks were then fitted to the deck and gun eye bolts and the gun lined up with the gunports . The blocks were then rigged and a small ring was fitted to the breaching rope eye bolts and the rope past through and attached to the eye bolts on the bulwark. Once happy the gun was glued down and a small peace of thread was glued on to hold the lead cover down. Some rope was wrapped around a paint brush covered in watered down PVA to make the ropes for the deck. My next job is to do some whethering and making the tools but that's for next time Cool
Thanks for following
