hi mate. the decal ive used here is "scale motorsport 1/12 carbon fibre plain weave black on pewter" (right mouthful! ). i now know there are better decals available by studio27. these are the decals warthogs using in his build and i think they much look better! (yes warty, im mentioning your build again!! ). you also need a decal softener. i use revell decal soft. this helps mould the decal to the contours of the parts. the decals are applied using the same process that was used to apply the small letters to the front wing. this was my first attempt at using them but after hearing about it i had to do it! lol. Looking really good, Ive been doing my for weeks enjoying doing it and its making the model experiance better and stretches the model out while waiting for parts mine are no backing up, its not as hard as you think and i'm a first time user. Just need to think a little before cutting, ive done mine in parts instead of one piece. Lots of time is needed and not to rush it. Found the painting harder as its seems to collect and build up in the smaller areas.
Defo worth trying !!!!

well.....im back! had some time away due to the arrival of my son! been pretty hectic but at the same time, AMAZING! ive got a little bit of a problem now as i dont like my front suspension graphics now ive tried the studio27 decals. these are much better but my front upright are all built so going to attempt to work my way around that as i change them. also decided i dont like my front or rear wings and think i could have done a better job so may be replacing them lol. made a brief start on the rear suspension so will post a "teaser" pic up until everything else comes together. cheers scott scottww86 attached the following image(s): If at first you don't succeed........skydiving is not for you!

Hi Scott, Congratulations once again on the baby boy (feeling tired all the time are we ??) and yes, I agree with Tom, the new Studio 27 decals do look far superior to the others, a great improvement and you have done a really good job on the finish, excellent stuff mate. It is a shame that you didn't grind down the part letter as Tom says but it is hidden somewhat when fitted so if you can live with that, then all's OK !! Thanks for posting the update Scott, look forward to seeing some more when you can ?? Kev.

Hi guys. To be honest I never even thought about removing the reference letters! This is the first model I've built so I'm going to use that excuse if they ever get noticed! Ha. My little man been sleeping very well to be honest Kev! Only wakes up once (fingers crossed!!!) during the night so it's not bad at at all. My mrs says he wakes up more when I'm away at work but I don't believe her! Lol. He Impressed me today by smiling at the mclaren drivers on tv but started crying when red bulls appeared!! Teach 'em young eh!! Haha. If at first you don't succeed........skydiving is not for you!
