Starting with the Weapons Tray:Thanks to some spectacular looking posts of the DB5 (Especially Mike - MWG, it's your fault I'm now broke ), I had to have one for myself - even though I am about 4 months behind & playing catch-up Starting with the weapons tray, like a lot of builders, I was not impressed with the huge tag on the front of the tray, so that had to go. I used a small picture hanger as a replacement handle & I think it looks OK. The same was true of the 'grenade' that was supplied, looked more like a hard boiled egg . I filed some grooves into it, to make it look more grenade like, then glued a small piece of old sprue to the top with a small piece of shaped wire for the release pin. I also removed all the excess plastic from round the gun's trigger, so it looked a little more realistic. Once painted, the tray looks a lot better than they way it was supplied Next up will be the driver's seat - which i will add some piping to & then paint.... Well spin my nipple-nuts & send me to AlaskaCurrent Builds:McLaren MP4-23Finished007's Aston Martin DB5FinishedMillennium FalconR2-D2BTTF Delorean (Maybe)

Good work Jerry, I am glad you decided to do the build, we can bounce ideas of each other. I am just waiting for 1/2mm thick grey leather to cover the seats. The Driver's seat:Decisions decisions - I decided on paint, piping & boot polish for my DB5, instead of leather. I used some stranded alarm cable as the piping & then primer & dark grey matt paint. Once dry I used some black bot polish to give it a slightly worn leather look. I am pretty happy with the finished piece Next up I will be giving the centre console similar treatment & adding some paint detail to the interior….. Piping complete In Primer Matt topcoat Finished Well spin my nipple-nuts & send me to AlaskaCurrent Builds:McLaren MP4-23Finished007's Aston Martin DB5FinishedMillennium FalconR2-D2BTTF Delorean (Maybe)
