Morning all, Can someone please enlighten me as to what is happening to the admin on this forum? I have been absent for a few months due to health reasons and now I read that Tomick, Gandale and others have left the forum. If this is true, does anyone care to tell me what has happened or is it classified? If correct, it is a massive shame as I for one have always appreciated their input and advice and they will be sorely missed. That's not to say that all the current contributions are not helpful and informative. Just asking..........

I think you will find the former forum team members are still about but appear to have lost that function. Its not been mentioned as to why that happened and i have not felt it appropriate to ask. As to Tom, while he does seem to have gone. Why ? No one is saying. But what is odd is that when you look at his stats he posted an updated and then around 3 hours later was the last time (to date) that he visited - just hoping his leaving was not down any health issues. 09:10 he posted and at 12:20 it shows this was the last visit he made. As to the official builds they were done by the support team so they have come to a stop at the moment. My main concern is having a number of deagostini builds on the go at the moment and some of the posts highlighting long delays on shipments (at the moment not for the kits i am doing I should add). There have been some mention of things changing and possible a new competition at some point but nothing has been mentioned as to what has gone on or why. Tony Happy Modelling

Thank you for your inputs on this. Let's hope that nothing too onerous has happened with the moderators to cause this. Fortunately, for me at least, I bought my Victory kit in one go. (i.e. not on a monthly basis) so I should not feel any effect of some of the delays that I have been reading about. That is , of course, assuming that the full kit is all there once I start the build. . I checked through the packages and there are 120 of them so that's a good start. Happy building.

I have ordered the full kit of the victory and customer service told me it is on back order and they have no idea when i will get my kit. It is very odd that they can not even give me a best guess as to when it will be shipped. Gets frustrating when customer service can not answer questions

I know it’s frustrating when this happens but the silver lining is that they shouldn’t take your money until order is ready to ship.

I think the most obvious concern is that DeAg UK might be folding. lots of sales for items not in stock smells like cash flow issues? if Tom left ok but why close down the hole forum support, wh kept it together and promoted sales. just seems like things are coming to an end. I certainly would not risk a part work right now just in case you never get all the kit. the lakeshores of clear information is very very concerning J “Whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect.” -Mark Twain

Forum support hasn't closed down - it's been restructured - hopefully for a new way up with the forum.
Bear with me, I'm finding my feet but I'm a modeller too and things will be sorted out. I'm seeking answers to things literally as I'm posting.

Roy. So is there any news on the forum support structure please Roy as i see that title has been added against your profile but we also have an un-named Admin online so interested to understand how its structuring if you are able to say. Will Previous admins such as Andy p and Derek but "reinstated" if that is the correct phrase to use? Not sure what you might or might not be able to share but i guess worth asking. Thanks Tony Happy Modelling

I can only say there has been a lot of work behind the scenes over the past weeks and a new team is now in place. Some of the prior ones might be back at some time but please, rest assured that we want this forum to get back to the fun and informative place it was.
I now have direct contact with the 'powers that be' and if you have problems or kit issues, please let me know.
Bear in mind DeAgostini is a global company and with different time zones, an answer can take a few days. Questions WILL be dealt with from now on. I fully intend to do my best.

Thanks Andy. I'm not a miracle worker, but I really want to get the basic stuff sorted. I might now be part of Admin, but I'm a subscriber too.

Roy. The big issue here in the states is getting pack 2. I am not the only one waiting fir it. I know of several people who have ordered either the full kit or monthly issues. Everyone gets all they need to build the Victory except for pack 2. Any information you can pass on to everyone about this issue will be greatly appreciated.
