I am waiting with baited breath. Always liked the look of this kit, but never got round to sorting the finances with all the other things that needed funding. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

I did start this back in January 2019 and never really thought about posting it on here, so a 15 months later this is where I am up to issue 84. The Delorean as a model is really good, some details are not right but I am not going down that route too much, you could end up doubling the price almost. The obvious upgrades that I will only be doing it the Flux, Xmas tree and time circuit mods. The others will be modded and repainted. Eaglemoss as a company are absolutely diabolical, I will never order from them again. Subscribed Oct 2nd 2018 got my first delivery 15th Jan 2019 (allow upto 21 days for delivery) Mmmmm. The first thing I did was respray the chassis in grey primer to closely match the original. Also I have made the engine a bit more grimy, the engine is only temporarily fitted, as I am still waiting on the gearbox mounts from issue 23 so I can proceed, without them I can't finish the chassis. When this first started eaglemoss used an autobox, I started 2 years later and I recieved the updated manual gearbox in issue 16, issue 23 came and I got the autobox mounts (totally different) many phone calls... One advisor told me to source my own parts... Another told me they can send an autobox and that would mean me striping the engine down to fit (not doing) this is still on going almost 11 months later. The wheels were just a bit too much chrome, they were resprayed in Tamiya Titanium. Same as the engine but sprayed with Halfords Aluminium. Spudtrooper37 attached the following image(s): Darren

Even thou I'm only up to issue 84 I thought I would get the extended issues of the hood box from the newsagents, still waiting for issue 137 (no surprise) been 2 months on back order. I also purchased Mike Lanes Hood box mod which is awesome. Spudtrooper37 attached the following image(s): Darren

The body work looks great but a bit dull, seen someone else spray clear lacquer on the panels so I have done this ands it look so much better. I used Halfords Satin Laquer. Spudtrooper37 attached the following image(s): Darren

A few more bits done, the interior panels I have resprayed in Halfords grey primer then a coat of satin Laquer. The door panels around the edge was painted a goldish colour to represent the body colour. Did not like this so done it in Tamiya Titanium. Original on the left. Been doing some work on the interior, can't do much because I'm missing issue's. This is a kind of work in progress. Cable ties are from Mike Lane (they are just perfect) The junction box on the dash I tried to make it as good as could, this just comes as black all over, so I painted in between with silver and then to replicate the connectors I used blue heat shrink tubing. Nice work Darren. Those cable ties must be really small and good work on the cable connectors. Keep it up. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

A small update, still waiting on issues but I have doing a few more Mods. Will post pics and how to over next few days. First one is a hose detail that goes on the left rear. Pull out EM hose from the blue plastic ends, then I drilled out the holes to 3mm,this is so Tamiya 2mm braided hose can be inserted. Repainted the blue in Tamiya sky blue and on the silver part a bit of Tamiya gun metal. As you can see a whole lot better. Spudtrooper37 attached the following image(s): Darren

Done some work on the rear side deck, there are 3 details known hockey pucks, EM has them all pointing in the same direction but the originals point different ways. Firstly I had to remove the base plate Then in the second pic I glued a 1.5mm plasticard on the base of hockey puck, slightly smaller than the main base. The base I drilled a 10mm hole a slid this over the top, glued in place. The last pic shows my 2 painted modified ones on the left and EM on the right Spudtrooper37 attached the following image(s): Darren

A but more work on the rear deck. The blue and red capacitors were the wrong colour, also the blue ones had a molding joining both together! First job to remove this molding. Airbrush with titanium gold, then top coat of clear blue, built up in layers to get desired look, painted base black and the tops. Same technique for the red capacitors, used a clear red to get candy apple look. Spudtrooper37 attached the following image(s): Darren

Very nice work Darren. Looks so much better than the supplied parts. A friend of mine was building this and he asked me to help him repaint a lot of the parts, needless to say I ended up with it to repaint, even made him a hover board, scratch built. Keep up the great work. Mark Regards Markwarren (Mark) Admin

A little bit more progress on a terminal junction, Eaglemoss is the first picture and you simply pass the cables underneath. Second is mine, just glued some thin plastic rod on top, then the blue is just heat shrink tubing. Spudtrooper37 attached the following image(s): Darren
