Hi all,

Finally got some photos on here, this is my first ever attempt at a wooden model which i am finding quite difficult, the instructions are not very easy to follow, especially when you don't know the nautical terminology, don't know how i'm going to get the canons etc into position in between the decks, i'll post some more photos when i eventually finish it.

And now some photos of my new project. Admin are sending me a new canon because of there mistake with the tapered end, so hopefully my second attempt will be better, i wished i had waited until i veiwed some of the superb efforts by you more experienced modellers on this forum, i'll be more patient in future. I think i'll buy part 3 again so i can have another go at the carronade.

The missus ain't to please with my bits all over her kitchen & dinning table

Bye for now Ferret

You're making an excellent start, and your centre section is coming along nicely too. I have a feeling that this will be a build to watch.

Hi all, Its been a while, finally got over this hurdle, what a nightmare. I am quite pleased with the way its turned out, makes you realise though how good Stedders & Co are . Bit stuck now don't know what colour , stain ,polish to use ? dont want to stain it a colour that looks out of place on the finished ship.
Any idea what the dark areas are at the front ? dont want to sand through, think the very small dark ones are small holes, but the large mark seems to be in the wood ? Still got to put the 2nd planking on the top part before i remove from jig. I have done all my ribs, cant wait to get the deck in then i'll post more pics, will be having another go at the carronade and canon, puddening on me anchour etc.......more to follow soon.

Nice smooth finish on your launch PF, are you painting or staining?
Cutting the planks down the middle seems a complicated way of doing things but a few have managed it and well! Not for me though.

Yes,the centre section build looks good.Having seen what the cutaway looks like(not very detailed)I am thinking of getting the cross section instead & putting it in the same display case.

Back again, here are a few more pics, i have planked part of the lower deck that may be visable even though i may cover it with the scene thingy i,d thought it would be good practice.

I will plank to the edge of the cut out when it comes to cutting out the ribs, now back to my launch, anchor & cannon mods
