Since the beginning of the series I have been toiling with the idea,
Am I going to build to race or is it going to sit on the mantel piece in all its glory?
I still don't know, some days I'm like stuff it....
I'm gonna burn it around, shredding up the concrete and other days
It's like.... Nah it's just gonna look pretty in a glass box.
What's your plan?

My plan is to use it as it's going to take 2 long years to build the thing.

As it comes with 2 bodies ill end up doing both. As long as I can find a big enough area to run it safely without the chance of b lining it into a curb

I want to race mine now! Still just over a year and a half before we can. But, the rb7 will look awesome on the shelf as well. Might be worth while doing a search for r/c tracks in your areas. They often let you use the track for a day for a small fee, as long as they don't have an event on of course.

Mine is purely for show. I may fire the engine up once, just to prove I built it correct, but not to race. I want the static long lasting look. If I want to race, I'll go buy some other RC car.

I was thinking to get my engine set at my local rc store. It's like 30 bucks to get it tuned 100%.
I will upload a photo later of my local track.
So if I do decide to open her up, it will be there..
I also watched the clip on you tube again. Makes me so amped!!

Paul i reckon the best bet is to keep a note of the issues with spares like the front wing, tires that type of thing .
Then just order them in the near future.

For spares you will have to buy back issues of the parts you want as spares as that is what I will be doing as I will be running mine.

I bought 2 sets of the front wing when they were $5 in the first issue. Wheres this track in perth you speak of knightrider

im going to get a second front wing and wheel set cause I will probably race it a little bit but there isn't any tracks here. just the street.

After spending $2000 on this i will probably just make it into a really good display model with some other redbull f1 things and some display lights just to keep it looking as neat as possible. how ever if i cant resist i have 3 front wings 2 rear wings 2 sets of tyres and the display cover and race cover so i can still keep it neat.

I was going to start another thread on this but seeing as we're here ill just ask.
Will Decals ever be available for this model. I understand that currently logos and sponsors are painted on but generally the paintwork is below par should we choose to use this as a quality display model, especially if you compare it to the Deagostini Maclaren MP4/23, the paint is stunning.
I recently completed a 1:20 RB6 painted with Tamiya spray can and it looks amazing. would love to strip the RB7 down and repaint it if Decals become available.
An aftermarket Carbon decal kit for suspension arms would also go a long way into making this a real display model.
