Super set of photos, I'm quite encouraged by them because I to have gone for the varnished finish on the thwarts, but I'm sticking with the yellow ochre for the bottom boards. It's still a question of personal taste.
BTW Ferret have you got some more Victory photos to share?

@tf5600 Thanks for sharing these - very helpful as I'm currently working on my launch build. I'm heading to Portsmouth myself at some point in the next couple of weeks, so hope to get up close and personal with it...

Splendid, crisp pictures.  Did you take ones of the other ships boats? Visual references are a modelmakers best tool (maybe not as much 'fun' as whirly, stupidly sharp, blades 'o doom and other power tools - but it's a bit like one of those chicken and egg conundrums - before the blades start getting active, one needs plans (sorry admin) and plenty of pics and drawings ). thanks for sharing Schnellboots on back burner

We took over 400 pics the weekend, was probably on the ship for 2 to 3 hours,fascinating how 800+ men lived on there,every bit of space seemed to have a hammock hanging up.There were a few places that were out of bounds to the public, but great all the same. I will post more ( Mike T ) and there's a few for Capt Stedders ( crest & axe ) enjoy.
Need to finish me planking of the launch, very slow process , got 7 on so far, but ill get there,it won't be as good as some of you pro's but as long as it looks half decent i'll be happy.

Another superb set of pics! I especially like the ones where you have focused on the details (the axe, the firing mechanism on the cannon and also the crest). Not sure about the shifty-looking deck hand though.. Obviously up to no good as his bucket is suspiciously devoid of water.. but les chemise rose' avec la lunettes de soliel? must be a French spy... Marines!! Schnellboots on back burner
