Hello all. I visited the Historic Dockyards today, primarily to document as much detail of the Victory as possible to help with our builds.

The link is here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/28321983@N02/sets/72157624551492058/

The lower decks are very dark even with bright sunshine outside, so please excuse some minor blurring - I didn't want to use flash, so I had to set a very low shutter speed and whack up the ISO to get some of them. Also, some of my descriptions may be off - please let me know what needs changing.

:edit
Forgot to mention: all images are available in RAW if anyone requires them. You may be able to squeeze out a bit more detail than how the camera interpreted it.

That's some seriously good pictures, thanks for sharing them, and your other pics are great as well.

How much work would it involve in getting those pictures a little larger in jpg format, Raw could be a little too large for my needs and maybe others? I mean with over 300 shots there it could take time.

The full resolution (4000 x 3000 pixels) image is also on Flickr, you can access it by clicking the "ALL SIZES" button when you click on an image. You have the option there of viewing the image in a variety of resolutions.

What is there to say? An excellent collection of very nice, clear and informative photo's!

I'm sure that, once things settle down a bit here at Schloss Stedders and I have the time to peruse them at a leisurely rate, many of them will prove very handy indeed

Many thanks!

I thought as much! BigGrin I've tried to explain the route around the ship as best I could, as it isn't obvious in a lot of the shots where abouts they were taken. Again, if you have any questions, please shout.

Seriously that's a fantastic effort, the only problem is finding the time to go through them all. I'm meant to be spending today catching up in the office after working away in Edinburgh for last three days.

I'm on my way! LOL The ticket does allow me to visit anytime in the next year, so I may well revisit the ship as we continue the build. Cool

My pleasure! I spent nearly four hours going around the Victory, waiting for people to move before taking the shots so as to get a clear a view as possible. Hope they come in handy! BigGrin

My advice is to take a notebook with you. There's plenty to capture using the camera, but make some notes while you're going around to assist in their placement.
I'd love to join you on the 21st, but I'll be at the Shoreham Airshow! Have a fruitful time! Cool
