Issue 58. Now approaching the half way point. Also finally a chance to reduce the pile of single parts lying around.

This 1/32 US Navy pilot figure might be of interest to add into your build..

Someone ordered this pilot to test if this one will fit without having to cut off the legs. No info yet on if it works.

We're reasonably sure however that we will receive the full run including the carrier diorama, ground personel and pilots.

Stage 60 means we've reached the half way point of this build, so to celebrate this occasion I've loosely put everything together we've got so far.

The two air intakes that were installed with the last two issues will be pictured in Wednesdays update.

The way it seems to be going is we're going to finish the plane by issue 100 then there's 20 extra issues with diorama base, pilots, ground personnel etc.

Unfortunately Hachette is stingy with information like this (or rather the sparsely staffed German office have no idea themselves) so this is guesswork based on what little info we see dribbling out of Japan.

That makes sense.I am guessing at least 5 issues for the Tom Cruise figure and 15 more for Val Kilmer!

In the last three issues we got to build the extension fuel tanks, Phoenix and Sparrow missiles (two of each respectively).

All of these clip to the plane with magnetic links so they can be switched in seconds to a new configuration.
