Well, I just spent the best part of half hour searching for photoetch part. Have now conceded to the carpet monster. Looks like i need to scratch build the part from stretched sprue.
Time for sleep now up in 6 hours for drive to Cosford.

Cheers guys.
I have got 25 issues left. I havent gone in issue order on most of it (not recommended if newbie/amateur). It was having u doing things not needed for 50 issues etc. My way was to get the hull done then build up a deck at a time. Also they didnt want you to paint it until issue 137.

Cheers Andy.
I've done a little more tonight. I am going to set a challenge of finishing her by end of august. I checked on when I started building her and it was August 2011. Here are my pics.

Hi all, I have painted and installed the breakwater now. There are a couple more pieces of it but will fit after railings are done. I have also painted and installed the various vents around the barbette. The front section of the main deck is nearly complete now. So can move to rear section.

Hi there Chris...I was in East Anglia models yesterday to get some new crafting blades amongst other things and as I entered the first section of the shop...there on the counter was this great brute of a build completed...It was HMS Hood and looked to be around five feet long or there abouts..It was up for sale for £750. I wondered if it might have been the same kit as yours? It was a real beauty and I spent a good half an hour drooling over it (not literally) lol.. Fantastic build, but me thinks, yours will turn out to be even more awesome mate...

Cheers Jonny, yeah would be nice if mine had a good price tag. Lol.
I have attempted to weather the front to see what it looks like. Just need a couple more washes.
