I'm genuinely enjoying your updates on this build.
It's great to see something a bit different in the 'vehicles' area.
Keep it coming.
I'm looking forward to the next part.

Roy.

Hi Roy thank you for looking at my Coach build, it is a change for me as I normally build large aircraft, at present I am building a 62' wing span Nijhuis Hawker-Hurricane that's a big challenge.

UPDATE: MAKING SADDLE BAGS FOR THE WINCH.

Soldering frame / Cutting leather to fit.

First was to make a jig exactly the shape of the saddle bag then with the 1mm brass bend it around the jig to the exact shape keeping it as close to the jig as you bend it watching out for kinks as you go.After soldering I had to reinforce the top as this was a week spot.

Next to cut the leather, this I had to glue a piece of leather to the brass frame to form a back side then stretch it over the jig to form the front shape, this I used spray starch to help keep the shape then leave it over night to dry.

Next to make the bag flap / buckles / and straps.

Regards

Trev.

Hi Alan, thank you for your post back to me, I have enjoyed making the saddlebags although it has been tricky at times and taken a considerable amount of time but well worth it.
