Hi All As you all know I was not happy with how the last level/screen of the upper Skullcap looked so after striping it back and deliberating how would be the best way to do it I decided to draw a full size plan of the upper row of facets and built the new screen on this. When it was dry it was placed on the scull cap and adjusted to fit. Now I am a happy bunny with how it looks as this is the 1st thing people look at when looking at the model as the eyes seem drawn to that particular point. Now I can proceed with the rear deck covers . More soon. Hi All I will be back on this in a short while and this is just an update on the Mixer set I will be using. Starting with the marine motor mixer this will enable the two outer motors to be controlled on the turn in effect slowing down the inner motor as you apply more rudder to port or starboard. The next unit is the multi controller which has an onboard ESC that will kick in the central motor at a set point from say half throttle upwards. They also do a very nice 3 motor power distribution board which I am awaiting its arival. More soon. Started doing some more on the boat and just a small update for now. I have started making up the main engine cover. the base for the cover is the piece that was cut out from the deck this was then strengthened underneath using the cross pieces already cut from the section to create the access hatch and then side pieces and strengthening fillets added to the joints. Finally a new top piece was made up that is 2 mm wider all around than the original deck piece so there is a neat joint with the deck. Once the glue is dry I can start adding the deck furniture on this part. I may yet stiffen it up some more as this part will be taken off more often that the other hatches and might need it.
