Afternoon shipmates. It has been another one of those weeks where I have managed to grab a couple of hours here and there to spend on my build, so no further ado, here are a few more pictures.
BigGrin

I accidentally caught the rear of my build with my elbow snapping it from the top down to the upper row of windows...a little super glue an pegging the repair in place did the job...
Blink Blushing Cursing

It was then that I ran into a problem concerning the quarter deck gun ports, and thanks to the very valuable advice from an eminant member of this forum I was able to sort the problem out, cut and line the gun ports before starting on the cabin and the poop deck itself!!

Cabin in place and the poop deck planked, I began to plank the poop deck bulwarks...ans waiting for the glue to set and harden, I started on the edging strip for the front of the poop deck then fashioning the four timber heads as per the instructions in Issue 59..
Blink

I am now going to mark out and trim the poop deck bulwarks...something that I'm not looking forward to...one hiccup, and it could all go pear shaped!!..
OhMyGod
Well, that's all from me for today shipmates...Keep modelling...

Hello there shipmates...it has been a week now since my last posting and I have managed to get a couple of hours each day on my build. I have managed to put together some pictures of my progress so far...
Blink

With a great deal of frustration, due to my lack of metric measurement know-how, the pillars fitted, I put the skid beams together and put them in place.

Next I began to measure out, cut and dry fit the capping pieces...

I made up and fitted some extra bits and pieces to the forecastle as per instruction in issue 60 then painted the bulwarks yellow ochre.

Capping pieces painted black, I added them to the build...

And leaving what I thought would be the most difficult capping pieces to make until last...(I broke four pieces bending these) I managed to get the required bend in the pieces by soaking them in hot water and left them in place to dry out...

Well, that's my lot for today...Dare not do anything delicate at the moment as I am beginning to suffer from shell shock...what with the fireworks going off outside...some sounding like mini nukes going exploding...my nerves are freyed enough!!!

Hope you have a great weekend shipmates...

here a ouestion i asker my self the skid beams when glued to geather the end of the beams are not in line because of the two angles glued to geather there fore they cant line up at the same distance port and starbourd of the hole unless you put them in at an angle dose that make sence
