it looks good and the trenailing sets it off, done to admiralty spec i presumeLaugh i have read that you can do it by rubbing a soft lead pencil(chippy one maybe) on just one side of the plank. i thought about a black permanent marker but will it bleed through and cause discolourationConfused . all the pro books say pencil but it is always better from the man on the job, learning by mistakes an all that.

those other guns look like some machined parts i saw a while ago, and i can't think what they were used for. they certainly do not look like guns at all.

RE: Corking

I use black electrical tape for the corking. I cut a length into 1mm strips and then superglue it to one side of each plank and then glue each plank together.

Very tedious but the results look good also no bleed or smudging

Dave
You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

Hi Robert,

I used the carrs solution, it was a while ago now, but I seem to do exactly what the instruction told me to do, but after 24 hrs in the solution there was hardly any colour change, so I left in the container and went on 2 weeks holiday, when I got back things were fine,
