Hi Bernd,
I am a complete beginner and have subscribed to the black pearl. I am hoping to use your very detailed diary for this build.
I just have a couple of questions before I begin if you or anyone can help?
What glue(s) should I use for the various parts, is this explained in the instructions?
The black pearl is black (obviously) why is this build different colour to actual ship and are you going to paint the whole ship for a more authentic look?
Thanks, You're doing a great job so far

Hi Tedley! It´s not easy for me to explain it in english language because I´m german, but I try to do my very best The glue: I use a PVA glue for woodworking. The name is "Ponal Express", but I don´t know if you can get it under this name in England. In some cases you also need a powerglue. The ship has to be painted, which colour you use - your choice There are a lot of build diaries in Germany where you can see examples. Mine will be painted later, so wait and see Regards and have fun, Bernd

Well done Bernd! She's really getting that worn and weatherbeaten look now! Her movie version didn't look like she'd had a coat of paint or varnish since old Capt'n Sparrow took her over! Very nice build indeed! Robin First wooden ship: The Grimsby 12 Gun 'Frigate' by Constructo Second: Bounty DelPrado Part Works Third: HMS Victory DelPrado Part Works 1/100 scale Diorama of the Battle of the Brandywine from the American Revolutionary War Diorama of the Battle of New Falkland (unfinished sci-fi), Great War Centenary Diorama of the Messines Ridge Assault Index for the Victory diary is on page 1

Only 9 to go, yet seems there is an awful lot of things still to provide and looks like there will be a lot to do in the final issues. Well done Bernd
