Thanks everyone. More work on the trestle. The bracing between the individual bents is now done and the stringers an in place. The stringers are the beams that the railroad ties will attach to.I cut the railroad ties from basswood strips and then I will stain them and place them on top of the stringers darbyvet attached the following image(s):

Now the railroad ties have been added.I took the rails from the G scale track I bought and sprayed it weathered steel and once it is dry I will attach the rails to the ties with the spikes I bought and then I just have to put the train on top and I am done. darbyvet attached the following image(s):

Cheers Tony. This kit was really much more complex than it looked and quite frustrating at times. So the final part of the trestle was to lay the track.I used the rails from the g scale track I bought and painted it silver.I epoxied the rail to the rail ties and then drilled 160 holes to place the spikes. In a nod to the golden spike ceremony at the end of the construction of the transpacific railroad I painted one of the spokes gold. darbyvet attached the following image(s):

I’m new to this forum. I purchased this Occre Jupiter model and have enjoyed building it thus far. I’ve come to the smoke stack and don’t quite know how to best secure the tin skin to the wooden frame. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.

That looks really great! I'm guessing you have a garden railway to run it on in decent weather?

I prebent and fitted the tin first and when it had it fitting well with a dry fit I smeared the epoxy on the frame and clamped the tin on to it. Good luck with your build.it is a tricky kit to assemble Carl
