Defo keep going Robbie... I think i'll still be doing this for another year yet but hope not as want to see the finished product myself!! I've never been one to do a kit right out of the box but thats what modeling is all about.. the beauty of this is that everyone can have a very good Replica which they have built themselves and hopefully will do more kits when released in the future Spencer

Hi Spencer
Apart from a lot of careful sanding and polishing, what did you use to get your superb chrome finish?
Regards John

Hi John I used Alclad2 Chrome over a (very) highly polished black finish.. if you look back over the build I think there is a photo of the paints used.. Spencer

That paint finish is "SAVAGE" it really does look like metal. Now that I have bought an airbrush I am going to have to get some of that paint and paint something chrome. Has anyone ever seen a chrome Swordfish? Steve..

That really does look quite incredible. I'm starting to wish I had gone down that route with my build but the time element is against me for at least 20 years having kids etc but I know that I will still be happy with the model at the end. That really is Superb Spencer. Lee

Just a few pics of final polishing for the main panels... Chrome taken off as done just for a test to make sure I have the correct finish across all parts.. Note i have removed one of the radiator cover panels.. I will do this with the others too at some point in the next few days.. Warthog attached the following image(s):

Very nice indeed Spencer and the result is certainly testament to the massive amount of prep work that you have put in and that absolutely needs to be done to get such a beautiful chrome finish!! I know how much effort you have had to put in to get there mate and the result is simply stunning!!
Well done Spencer, I love it and keep up the good work!!
