Trev Just looked at my "fatboy" diary and that seems to be ok. Looking at your diary it looks possible to be another photobucket issue. I think people were having issues 12-18 months back with photobucket wanting more money to allow you to share pictures on forums such as this. I always import my pics from the pc. Not as neat but it has stopped me getting issues with pic disappearing. Found this help link which covers off the message your pictures are showing. Not sure if it helps Trev? https://support.photobuc...d-or-Deleted-This-Image

Trev That is not sounding good. Just had a look on "downdector" and there are no reported outages for photobucket. When you try to logon have you selected one of the options for cannot remember my id or password? Just wondering if doing that would reset your access so you can logon? Its not great that their only contact route appears to be via email. Fingers crossed for you that you can get it sorted. Tony Happy Modelling

Tony, Thanks for your help, it is a Photobucket fault !! just received a message regarding my account: quote ( We apologize for the recent service disruption that you have been experiencing these last few days Click here to learn more ) still waiting to see what will happen, reading the Photobucket reviews they could hold my photos and ask me to pay more for there services, but I still have 7 months credit. Regards Trev. ps: will post pictures when possible. Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).

Not a good situation. They ruined many a build diary across the internet a few years ago when they pulled a similar stunt. Think people hadto stump up extea cash if they want to link pictures stored on photobucket, on other websites and forums. I just post mind from my pc directly onto the forum. It does lack some finesse in that you cannot embed a picture in between lines of text but on on a plus side its free and unless the forum was to crash and loose everything, its fairly reliable. Really hope you get it all sorted spon. Tony Happy Modelling

Hi Trev! Glad you've managed to resolve the problem if only temporarily! Like Tony, I also upload straight from the pc to the diary. I'm still using my 19 year old Corel Printhouse graphics program to construct the 'block' of photos. Again as Tony mentioned, you can't split the photos up with text but after seeing so many other diaries that suddenly lost all their pics, its a lot safer doing it yourself! The handy part is, all I have to do is rename the last upload like "Bunkers pt 1" to "Bunkers pt 2", delete everything on the printhouse screen and then use the blank as a template for the next set of photos! Saves a lot of time! Best of luck and Merry Christmas! Robin. Tony, Robin, It appears that most, if not all pictures have been re-installed, on all of my builds, the problem is I can't see them on Photobucket as yet, also I would have to guess that I have chosen the correct picture so this is still hit and miss which is very frustrating so no pictures at this moment in time, also I cannot preview any pictures sent to the Forum. Update from Photobucket: Quote (Service disruption update 21/12 the majority of Photobucket members are back online, we continue to work on getting members fully functional. We will report back as progress continues)end. Thank you for your support. Regards Trev. Work in progress: Tombstone (Scratch) - San Francisco 2. -The Mayflower ( scratch by plan).

Good news Trev. It`s one of the problems with using a hosting site. If it fails, then your pics fail wherever they are. Happy to see your pics returning now. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

I don't use hosting sites for any pictures in my builds. I personally store all pictures on my PC (backed up to an external drive). I use Microsoft Publisher (there is other similar software available) to convert the picture to Jpeg format. This software allow me to crop/resize any picture. This is then saved onto my PC in the folder I create for that particular build. As and when I want to post them onto the forum I just upload from my PC. Jobs a goodun. This works for me Gil Current Build:- [color=blue]Stash Avro Lancaster (Full Kit)plus some extra issues I picked up at a good price [color=blue]Built:- Norman Catapult by Mantua,Roman Catapult by Mantua,HMS Victory,HMS Victory XSection,Focker DB1,Bismark,English Carronade Titanic Lifeboat,American Civil War Gatling,Hummer,Sopwith Camel F1,Occre Jupiter ,OcCre Wagon, Latina Arab Dhow, Eaglemass Orrery OcCre Rogers 119 [color=red][color=red]RB7,OcCre Missippi River Boat, Model Airways Fokker DR1 OcCre London L>C>C 106 Ugears Scrambler, Ugears Hexapod Explorer UGears Off-Road Vehicle

Hi Gil, Thank you for your advice it will be very helpful as this is the way to go in the near future, I understand that IT can go wrong at times but over the 9 years that I have been with Photobucket this is not the first time this has happened to me, but it could be the last time I use them.
