BigGrin Hi All
recieved the portholes so i can crack on with them now,the packs in the pic should be more than enough to do the requirements for the plans provided in the kit but as i have the myuki-kai plans aswell i shall probably be adding more

Hi Andy!
What a lot of portholes there are! Building the Akagi is my hobby, but I call next three process "practice mortification" of Zen(禅).Blink

1. Planking the flight deck
2. Attaching Jackstays on the hull
3. Making portholes

Have a good practice for your success.Cool

Best Regards,
Yutaro

BigGrin Hi All
Bit more done on her hull, started to add the lower hull portholes the upper portholes will be added later as i suspect theres more work on the upper superstructure to be done.
I started off marking the positions from the plan on masking tape, here im using 40mm wide tape as it covers all the portholes in one strip, the blue line is where the degausing trunking will run il be using plastic strip here like on the Yamato. After all the portholes were marked the tape was transfered to the hull and then a 2mm drill was used to drill them out ,a 1.5 mm drill was used for the smaller port holes.
I have included pictures of the hull with just the drill holes showing as this is how the instructions say to leave them and after that the pics show with the aftermarket portholes attached.I still have the other side to do as yet and as uyssual all questions/comments are welcome
regards

Hi Andy!
You've done not only practically hard jobs but also mentally hard ones! Laugh I think such hard jobs make your ship more and more great one. I expect your next sending.
