She is a fair old size. I am watching with interest to see how you solve the stern shape issue, but I have no doubt you will and it will look top notch.
Titanic is also on my wives hit list, so I am watching both builds with interest.

Jase Apologies Jase, I missed your comments... Resolving the stern shape issue is still work in progress but am happy with how it is turning out.... If nothing else it will look much improved compared to the version contained in the instructions... Thanks for taking the time to comment Jase... Regards Alan

Short update, slow process but the planking continues as does the shaping of the stern... Think the basic shaping is there for the first layer of planking but still have work to do as more material needs to be removed from the final rib in order to narrow the width and get rid of any curvature... difficult to explain so hopefully all will become clearer as the process moves forward.... The sanding process will bring out the final shape of the profile ready for the second plank layer... So far, am pleased with how it is progressing.... .. Happy building all.... looks like a good start Alan.
your stern shape looks good so far but your going to have to put quite a bit effort into spacing your strakes at the stern.
If it was me I would be mapping this out on paper before going much further so you have a plan in your mind.
Enjoying your build though

J Thanks Jase for those positive comments..... appreciated.... Agree with you regarding the spacing of the strakes to take the sharp profile of the stern.... Have made slight marks on the ribs where the strakes want to lie and it looks as if every second strake will have to be tapered.... It's coming together and it is a challenge to get it to look the part. To be honest, I am kind of running on instinct, the study of many photos and a lot of crossed body parts but feel sure it will work out...... .. Thanks again for looking in.... Regards Alan

Then I can stand back and see if I am close to achieving my aim.... time will tell... .. Thanks for looking in and commenting.... Regards Alan

Steve Thanks Steve, can say it's certainly taxing my know how and at this stage I'm afraid there is no turning back... If it doesn't work out then it will be a strip down and try again.... am sure it won't come to that though..... Regards Alan

More work on the stern shaping so thought I would give a couple of underside views to show how its progressing... If you look at the difference between the left and right sides you will get an idea of how much material I have had to remove from rib 23.... Trick now is to get the right side to match the left.. . Now starting to really think it is getting there..... more soon.... Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):
