Hi All The spars, booms and flag staff have now all been serviced with blocks ect. the sails have been serviced with rope and have now been aged in a bath of water ,light grey and sepia wash. I have investigated the use of tea/coffee as a staining agent and have found its not recommended the reason being the tanins found in both beverages are by nature acidic so will over time rot the sail cloth. Hi All The first sail has been set along with its rigging on the rear mast. Rope coils and hanging [belaying pin] coils will be furnished later. More soon. Looking really nice with the first sail going on. Andy I also read about tea and coffee being bad for sails, not sure how true it is though.  Saying that I didn't risk it on my sovereign. Man he took his time in the sun Had a dream to understand A single grain of sand He gave birth to poetry But one day will cease to be Greet the last light of the library...We were here!
