Thought it was time for a little update on the big lady..... Have fitted the propshaft housings, set in place using epoxy... Planking continues and have finished the port side, will take a few sessions yet before the first planking phase is complete...... Planking has proved to be tricky in places but happy with results so far... .. So far I think she will sand down very nicely..... Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):

Hi Alan,
Isn't that just always the case. I reckon it is going to be a year or two for mine, so I am really hoping Deagostini do not release another most have in that time, although I am sure that they will.
As always it is a joy to watch this one coming together, all the effort to the whole build and modification to the stern area really seems to be paying dividends now.
Keep us all updated.

Dave Thanks David, appreciated..... Now that I have finished with the work on the SOTS for this week am hoping I will now be able to close the hull up over the next few days ready for filling and sanding down..... .. Think all the extra work I did in reshaping the stern had paid dividends but it may cause problems further down the line, will just have to wait and see..... .. Thanks again for looking in.... Regards Alan

Hi everyone, well the old girl has finally got her first skin on.... Have to say this was a long and tedious task at times, mainly due to her size..... Next job is to fill, sand, shape the bow and get the hull ready for the second layer... filling and sanding will get underway tomorrow evening, arm is about to get a good workout....... .. Happy building all... Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):
