Still got mast metal piece to go on seat where recess filed out. Also steering gear yet to come for stern. Regards George Building HMS SOTS

G'day George
Your ships boat looks great mate - a real credit. Nice work. I'm having a bit of a struggle with mine but getting there slowly.

Regards JohnP Hi John. Thanks for the compliments they are appreciated. I'm reasonably happy with the launch now but after having the keel broken in five pieces I didn't expect too much as a finished item. Regards George Building HMS SOTS

Issue 16 came today.Bliss again. More stern assembly and start of planking materials. No instructions on planking. Possibly in issue 17 as that is only planking material. I will look at Tomick's SOTS Build Diary and try to make a start on planking as soon as glue completely dry on the assemblies. Items in issue 16 and stern assembly glued together and issue 15 assembly now glued in place in front. Regards George. Building HMS SOTS

Hey George you have achieved a lot here and all looking very good. I am impressed with the rope coil as I found this very challenging to do well on earlier builds. You seem to have mastered it well. Love the rest of your work too. Brex.

I purposely got 16 assembly all done as planking here now and I will need to take my time with it. At least we've got more than a couple of hours work. Regards George Building HMS SOTS

Steve Hi Steve. Thanks for looking in. Your kind comments are really appreciated and certainly gives me encouragement. In truth I didn't expect the launch to turn out any good as I had that broken keel to worry about, but it eventually all came together OK. Regards George Building HMS SOTS
