Hi All, I started fitting guns this weekend. I’m really glad I left the beams off as suggested on some of the Pearl forums. It’s taken a lot fiddling out of the equation. I followed my own rigging protocol – its by no means accurate or even correct, but I feel it looks better than the methods suggested in the instructions. FYI, the thick thread around the back of the barrel is 0.8mm thread left over from my Victory, the remaining thread is what was supplied with the Pearl. I also had some brass rings left over from my Victory. The idea is to work out my method on the first gun, sort out any problems with it on the second and the rest should be plain sailing (famous last words) The pics kind-of tell the story…  Kind regards, Garth Garth attached the following image(s): "Measure twice, cut once!!!"

Hi All, Guns installed!!! The kit only makes provision for 12 guns, but I added 6 extra guns to the starboard side. Hi All, A small update today. Basically, preparing for the electronics. On the deck below, I used two pieces of copper wire as buzz-bars to connect the LES’s. Thanks to Karl, a colleague at work, he suggested (and made it up) using Vera board instead. This is a much better solution than the wires. Firstly, I fitted the beams and columns. It certainly made fitting the guns easier not having them in the way. Once dry, I marked the position of the Vera board and cut slots for it to lay in.
