yeah if they are really going to make/add the launchpad. not sure how i can make this display case work at this moment, need to know the measurements and a place to put it. really want to place this somewhere in my living room. would be a great converation starter

and if they launchpad really works going up and down i need to figure that out aswell. same goes for the pistons from tb2.

launchpad down, thunderbird 2 up

The launch pad is available om hlj for 210 euro

http://hlj.com/product/PLZTB20221001

I asked them if it's the same version as on the deagostini site:

Thank you for writing. The 1/144 Thunderbirds 2 Dedicated Launch Pad Display Base (Assembly Kit): PLZTB20221001 is the exact same kit as the DeAGOSTINI one. It was exclusive for DeAGOSTINI, but things changed, and a few pieces became available for distribution under Platz name. Hope this helps!

Steve

You could try doing a google search as there are a number of sites that offer calculations on import duties. One that i found is

http://www.importcalculator.com/

I know on items i have received from the USA not only do you see import tax but also a handling fee of around £10.00 being added.

Just looking back on some of the royal mail invoices for my items from usa.

They list the folliwing categories

Customs duty
Excise duty
Import vat
Other
Clearance fee

I get charged the import vat ehich is calculated on the full cost of the parcel including postage and a clearance fee of around £8.00 for the post office to do its bit.

Its a bit of a pain when there are things you really want and cannot get from this country.

Www.hmrc.gov.uk. Is the address on the royal mail invoice for getting further details
