week 80, bilge pumps,fore hatch cover,wheel assembly all to make up,and as usual very sparse on measurements on the pump handles.please keep the comments coming.

week 81.bowsprite to make up,got a chance to test out the unimat lathe.






worked a treat,the lathe seemed quite powerful for the task,will def.be adding to the units,even tried the milling on the bees,cutting the slots.mark out the slots on a full length of planking then when done cut to length.

thanks ian,can't praise the unimat enough,it does exactly what it says on the lid.and upgrading is so easy,apart from the price,but as they say"you get what you pay for.Cool recovering my bank balance will take a bit of time,and 'er in doors is not pleased.Blushing

hi anny luck with the chuck if not try www.osbornsmodels.com/83...-1-lathe-6-tools-in-1... you should get unimat page i just type in unimat lathe into my serch to get it click in power tools scrol down to the chuck its the cheapes place i seen for spare parts £15 for chuck

week 82, and we see the spritsail jib and boom fitted,reinforce the mainmast bitt,to take the spritsail mast,and fitted the bilge pumps.

week 84,and were moving on at a pace now,two days work for me.fitted 22 belaying cleats and painted them. fair lead saddle fitted to the spritsail,tied in the pinnacle,and made up the fore mast,fore topmast,fore gallant mast and yards,the yards I used walnut Danish oil,and the masts Canadian cedar Danish oil,with a coat of matt water based varnish.the metal cleats I painted using white with a touch of yellow ochre acrylic.the mast caps was walnut stain, Danish again.as usual comments most welcome.
