Hi Jonny,
Your Victory is looking good,I have trouble painting so i bought some Frog tape it works very well but it will not work with oil bassed paints only water bassed.
Also have you tried masking fluid, it's made by Humbol and it's called MASKOL, just paint it on where you don't want paint to go and when you have finnished just peel it off, it's like a rubber solutionLOL

Hi shipmates...It has been a good number of weeks since my last posting and my progress has been somewhat slow, the main reason for this had been my anxiety with using super glue which always causes flue-like symptoms with me every time I go anywhere near the stuff!! Must find an alternative...Any suggestions?? Anyway, the latest parts of my Vic build involved the use of super glue, hence the delay? Pictures paint a thousand words so here are a few...

I have since built and installed the flag lockers and made a start on the Mizzen mast, the lower part of which is complete. I shall post some more pictures as soon as I can...That's all from me for now shipmates, I am off to drool over my Sovereign of the seas parts...Happy building matey's...P.S...I will be nipping down to the annual Yarmouth Maritime Festival on Saturday to look over the tall ships 'The Mercedes and 'Tres Hombres' plus taking in sea shanties to boot, sounds like a good day out, so happy building shipmates, catch yer later...

Glad to see you posting again, the build is coming along quite nicely, I understand your statement about superglue. I get a ferocious cough when using the wretched stuff, but, it has to be used sometimes.
Keep them updates coming. All the best, Steve..

Hi shipmates, here is my latest update on my Vic build, slowly but surely getting there? This build is definitely stretching out, as I said at the very beginning, it will take two and a half years plus to complete? I've never found a build as for filling as this one, so here are a few more pics...
Wink

Well...That's it from me for a while as I need to tackle the rest of the mizzen mast? As I was saying at the beginnig of this post about this build stretching out...Many of us may remember our conversations about a build to fill in while waiting for Victory parts to arrive, well, I've decided to drag this one out while waiting for my Sovereign of the seas issues! Happy building shipmates and catch yer again soon!

hi jonny, love the work you put in,and love the workshop,so much like mine, organised chaos,I would love to have a section showing what conditions we work in,from super workshops to a corner in the kitchen?what do you think,it would help me to visualise the builder at work.and appreciate more, the way he/she works?
