Loving the care and attention you're paying to this one Andy, great to see work starting on the upper decks....  .. The more you do the more I want it... Keep this up and I'll have to drop hints to my other half with xmas not too far away.....  ... Regards Alan

Hi Steve The barrels ended up being painted with the caldercraft metal black in the end as the krick blackener didnt work so well. The lower 24lb stub cannon coated ok as did the 9lb upper cannon but still have a couple of patchy ones even after a good scrub and clean so I might yet paint those too. Hi Alan Thanks for looking in and your comments. She is a great kit and lends herself to being enhanced quite easily, although getting all the little things right can take time but pays off in the end. I am still suprised that carronades were not classed as part of a ships armament and 12 of them considerably enhanced the fire power of the ship making a 64 gunner into a 76 gunner. Hi All All the 24lb carriages have now been made up and painted, all the cannons have now been mounted too. Each gun having to be individually mounted and drilled for each trunion bracket then pinned. Still need to add some more furniture to the central guns that will be seen after the next deck goes on. Im two thirds of the way through the 12 pounders which will need to have the full furniture as they will be seen. More soon. Hi All All the 12 pounders have now been made up and mounted on there carriages. The 24 pounders that are out of sight under the deck have also been attached to the deck along with the 36 pounders [Stub cannon] in the lower gun deck. I still have the other side to do for the stub cannon but that wont take long.
