Finally done the carronades and now fitted to forecastle deck, the hammock rails and netting is next before the shrouds are started. Steve stevie_o attached the following image(s):

Hi Stevie Beautiful work on those carronades! Glad to see you've got them mounted broadsides too! Even the Jotika kit puts them pointing foward, but if their first shot of the battle caused so much damage, they must have been fired in a raking shot through the Redoubtable's stern which means they must have been firing broadside! Lovely finish on the barrels, is that paint or chemical blackening? Hello again Well have I had an infuriating couple of nights with these hammock cranes and nets  Still have loads to do and over 70 more hammocks to make yet, the worse part for me must be the sewing the nets onto the crane rails, the thread gets caught on every sticky out bit on every stitch, pinrails, stair pillars, even the chainwales, the thread seems to be attracted to anything it can get caught on. As you can see I have only completed the 2 short rails on deck and these have to go all round the entire capping rails yet. More to come but it is slow going! Fiddly work Steve, But keep at it, the end result looks good so well worth the effort. have you got cranes for the poop deck ? Regards Alan England expects that every man will do his duty.

Alan Hi Alan Thanks for the comment. Yes, there are cranes for the poop deck as well but I left these off for now as I have been resting my hand on the capping rail here trying to keep is steady when sewing the other net on Steve
