Hi all, I have also been missing in action, being on leave and going down to the Breede River etc. Got issues 83 - 86 about 2 weeks back and only put them together on Sunday. Found a major problem with my radio stuff. The steering servo seems to be dead, if I plug it in the receiver goes dead. If I try other servos then the throttle response slows down. It seems that I have a dud receiver and servo. I will possibly change the radio after doing some more checks. I did start the engine and it sounds good, much quieter than my buggy.

I tested my servos at least they working, you must try contact them to send you another one. Sounds like they don't do a proper quality check before sending parts out. I back ordered a issue at CNA a few weeks back, still haven't received it! Seems like the back order system is not controlled properly. I am even struggling with my Ferrari collection...
I hope CNA receives the extra issues!!!!

Hi All
After nearly liquidating my business I've made a comeback and I'm glad to say I am continuing my RB7 build, have to start on issue 26 but at least I'm back. Any major concerns or issues regarding future builds/issues I need to be aware about?
Have a great day.

Welcome back sparrowtwin, and if you follow instructions there should be no hassles with assembling the car. I did test the radio system when I first received it but it seems to have gotten a bug in the mean time. Jacklin said that they will replace it and I must send it back. It will cost me R275 for a courier to deliver the parts back to them because of the postal strike again. Of course I must strip the car to get the servo out but never mind, will get it done over the weekend. The engine starts well and was a bit rich of course for the break in. Just ran a bit of fuel through it and it sounds good. So, there you have it.

Are you getting your books from CNA or through the post?

I am by CNA and currently having issues with backorders by them! I am missing 3 issues which just dont come!

I received the remote and issue 17 earlier this week. Sent the damaged stuff back via courier so that they cannot say that they did not receive them. I will test the new stuff and then put the car back together and do the run in story using my own fuel mix. After that I will have to go commercial fuel because I have run out of fuel supplies. I am now running my buggy on 20% Beetle Juice from Speed Models in Tyger Valley area. My daughter brought me 8L, so that is a lot of car running.
Enjoy
Cheers and Beers

Well, there you have it. That is one of the reasons that I went the subscription route. Been there, done it and have the T-shirt. Ok, the only thing that messed up the subscriber's was the postal strike. I have had some problems, but they were soon sorted out, got my new radio and issue 17 replacement, so no complaints from this side except some issues with the build.

There is so much play on the bearings going into the wheels, steering slop, play on the ball joints, etc. For something costing so much money, I expected better from Kyosho. My buggy from Hobby King has much less slop on the vehicle. I will carry on with the build because I am nearly finished, but never again.

Found this on the build forum:
Tamiya PS-59 dark metallic blue
Tamiya PS-19 camel yellow
Tamiya PS-1 white or PS-5 black (backing coat) depending on the blue chosen.
PS- 58 pearl clear (option)
Tamiya TS-14 gloss black
Tamiya TS-29 semi-gloss black
TS-30 Silver (or X-11)
Tamiya plastic primer - (for use with the TS paint)

Check the link out, seems like they can help you
