Great work Claret  looking fabulous.Sorry to hear of your mesh troubles,I get my supplies from the modeldockyard.com because I had similar experiences with CMB.CMB are happy to take your order and will put stuff on back order if out of stock where as modeldockyard have a live stocklist on their website and I get my orders in a couple of days. Hi, More progress on the bow beak. I found clamping the sides difficult due to the curvature, but over come it using scouring sponges. The clamps did not want to slide to the narrowest point with these in between the wood and clamp heads. i filled the gaps in between the two boards and sanded smooth. Hi, On with the decking, glued the supports in place after dry fitting them.  whilst the glue was drying i painted the the stern and the beak wall.  Then left all to dry. Regards Claret Also working on:

Hi, With the supports in place and glue dried, I added the decks, happy that the dry fitting was okay.  I used jugs of water to act as weights to hold the deck down. Once the glue had cured, i cut the supports showing in the hatchway's, but left a 1mm over hang for the grating to rest on. Pillars were glued into place for additional support and painted matt black. Regards Claret Also working on:

Hi, I finally finished the weekend with planking the deck. I cut the basswood strips into 60mm lengths and varnished them individually with matt medium oak. I them used a permanent marker on the edges to add the caulking. Progress so far:  Not sure on the treenailing yet. Regards Claret Also working on:
