This next bit was a bit more involved thin i thought it would be..(best laid plans and all that)

Pic.1 The lights this string of 8 lights came from a M&S card model of St Pauls after it got damaged i kept the still working lights..(just as well i did).

Pic.2 I made 2 false beams with some 5x0.9 mm wood so i could run the wires down it and stained them to match the surrounding beams.

Pic.3 The fitted lights and wires.

Pic.4 the first bit of the next deck also it's the first bit of proper wood!!..for added effect i drew pencil lines 5mm apart i also drew the plank ends as an idea that you could do that instead of putting in that wood effect deck overlay...which is horrible ..then used acrylic model paint thinned down to give a better wood finish i will be using the wood effect just for the lower deck cealing i will be planking the gun deck floor with 5x0.9 mm wood

Thanks Ian it will be a while before the next string of lights gets done all that work on the cannons crates and stuff would be a lot harder to do with false beams in the way and all the stuff on the lower deck..(rope food barrels etc) are being left out for the moment ...until the planking gets done ...with all the nail tapping, sanding, drilling and swearing (that ones optional) summat is sure to drop outBigGrin

...John;)
