Truly awesome, Yutaro-sama. I DO like the decking and have to keep reminding me this is 'only' 1/700. I look forward seeing more. Adrie. Hi Adrie! Thank you for looking and giving me comments. As you pointed out, 1/700 scale models are so small. I attached a picture of the battle ship Yamato of 1/700 scale model. I built it several years ago I call this model palmtop "YAMATO". Best Regards, Yutaro Yutaro HONMA attached the following image(s): DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Hi All! I post next progress. I have started attaching photo etching parts. Before painting, they have to be washed sufficiently. I attach several parts, such as chains and chain's floors, on the bow deck. 4 Reels on the foot-area of the bridge were attached. Rolls were made of 1.0mm plastic rod. Last picture is the present situation of this model. Best Regards, Yutaro Yutaro HONMA attached the following image(s): DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Lovely work on such a small scale, good luck with the etch, I wouldn't fancy doing that at 1/700 scale Steve

Hi Andy! Thank you for your comment. Althogh photo etch parts are difficult to handle, the model with such parts become realistic. Best Regards, Yutaro DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Hi Steve! Thank you for posting the comment. The other day, I found and bought a model of YAHAGI(矢矧). The YAHAGI was Imperial Japan Navy light cruiser. She is famous from her last voyage with battle ship Yamato for Okinawa. The scale of this model is 1/2000 . Hi All! I post a diary of the next progress. Since I caught a cold last weekend, the progress is poor. The floor was glued to the hull. I attached etching of rails on the flight deck. Hi Adrie! Thank you very much for your comment. I think your words are too excessive because I am no more than an ordinary modeler. I have just built commercial kits and parts. For example, real proffesional's works can be seen at the URL below. http://nabeck.web.fc2.com/hg-mdf05.htm

Hi All! This time, I post a diary of main guns. The NAGATO had 8 barrels of main guns. I used plastic parts that have openings. I painted areas around the openings in gold. Japanese toothpicks were inserted into the openings. (Japanese toothpicks have round section. It is like a cocktail pick of Europe) After painting the barrels, the area and the insides of the opening were remained gold (brass) color. I attached handrails and ladders on the main guns. Besr Regards, Yutaro Yutaro HONMA attached the following image(s): DeAGOSTINI 1/250 the YAMATO, 1/250 the AKAGI. Hi Yutaro-sama. Please aceept my apologies if my comments made you uncomfortable. That was certainly the opposite of my intention. It may be that these kits and enhancements are readily available for you but for me the term master has very little to do with the starting material but more with the skills shown to deal with them. I would not have been able to do half of your work with my skills and it would have looked so much worse. So for me, for these type of builds you will remain 'my' master. That there are others who produce even more stunning results (and ALL of the models you have linked are stunning!) does not negate that. There are probably some areas where I could consider myself your master. I have been told on many occasions that my nasi goreng (an Indonesian rice dish) is the best thing since sliced bread. But that does not mean that I am the world best in making that dish, just that they appreciate (or value) my cooking skills for this dish. And for me that is all that calling someone master means, namely showing an appreciation for (and acknowledging) superior skills. Adrie. Dear Adrie I never feel any uncomfort to your #34 comment. I'm truly glad to read the comment. Since I'm not native of English language, my #35 comment may include an unforeseen negative nuance to natives. If you feel such negative nuance in my post, I have to make an apology to you.
