DC3 Dakota's over Normandy..

For the 70th commemoration of the D-day invasion, a group of parachutists set its goal of assembling as many as possible still flying Douglas C-47 Dakota’s at the airport of Cherbourg.

Perhaps I will be thought to be ...out of touch ...living in the past ..etc etc but to my mind it is a day to remember those that fell and those that did what was asked of them ....Just had a email from De Ag suggesting I should buy a model Spitfire ...wrong wrong wrong...But what do I know....

We are commemorating the day and reminding our database of the product.

Some proceeds of every sale goes to the Royal Air Force.

Very interesting article Andy.

12 years ago I was fortunate enough to visit Pegasus Bridge and in our party were 4 of the solders that were on those gliders. watching them retrace their footsteps and laying a reef are memories ill never forget.
