Stage 6 now complete. As I had done the front wing skids earlier this was only the rear wing support. I have not glued it in yet as someone on here advised to wait until later on in the build but they are glued together. Started stage 7 now. This stage concentrates on the engine. Got the cam cover logos glued on then the cam covers loosely screwed on to the engine. Also glued on the air chamber end. I noticed after taking this pic that there was some'fogging'on top of the badging from the instant adhesive. I was able to remove this with a sharp knife. It only really showed up on the flash anyway Senna mclaren mp4/4 build complete mp4/4 build http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=12029

Looking good Steve, a little late I think but using a toothpick to apply the instant adhesive as in the official build diary will make sure that you don't get any overspill.. It's always a rule of thumb that when using superglue to make sure you have clean grease free hands/fingers etc as any "sweat" from your fingers will then activate and draw the fumes from the glue and fog. Now, rather than use a blade to remove the fogging you can use some future floor polish lightly over the fogging and this will hide the fogging, it won't remove it but it saves damaging your parts. Thanks, I'll give it a go. But to be fair it is not that bad really. The flash from the camera makes it look worse then it is. Senna mclaren mp4/4 build complete mp4/4 build http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=12029

When I came to gluing the air chamber end to the plenum I did do it by putting a bit of glue onto a plastic sheet and then using a tooth pick which I found much better. All part of the learning process I suppose. After all this is my first model! Senna mclaren mp4/4 build complete mp4/4 build http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=12029

Looking good Steve.
I'm starting to think I should have done my Marlboro decals at the time of building rather than leaving them until a later date!

It's only the rear wing I'm putting the marlboro decals on early. Just thought the wing would be harder once assembled. Senna mclaren mp4/4 build complete mp4/4 build http://forum.model-space...spx?g=posts&t=12029
