if you buy an a/l kit you normally get a couple of wooden pedestals and a baseboard without any holes. all i have done in the past is drill through the base board into the bottom of them and put a screw through. then the keel usually fits straight into the slot, keeping it in place. however those look like metal, and judging by the size of the surprise i don't think they are going to hold very well. if there is sideways movement then the keel could actually rip off. i know these come as part of the kit, but you would be better off using another method, or even make a better stand yourself. sorry i could not have been any real help.
