KP Is that a wood dashboard you have modelled. Well impressed with this one as that base model you had did lack that little sparkle but you have really put a lovely finish on this one. Absolutely love the colour. Very well done. Happy modelling Tony Happy Modelling

Got to be honest no its not wood but it did take 3attempts and nearly 4hours to get it to look like that. I probably could have made one out of wood just as quickly. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

KP Well I know you said the paint finish was not 100% in your view in mine it is. You had a very old and tired kit to work with and I think your paint finish and colour scheme looks really brilliant. Happy Modelling

Thanks very much Tony loads to do yet. Not sure how far to go with the garage I have loads of ideas but I want the Packard to be the focal point of the garage. I have a beat up old Tbird for the mechanics to work on but am not wanting to detract from the packard. Really not sure how far to go with the garage. Should I even do any more to it. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

KP Very nice indeed are my thoughts. I am still trying to work out how you got that radiator grill looking so good. From the pictures it looks like an etched part but I guess you will say it's just "a bit of paint" you are far to modest. The reason for my interest is that a few years back my nephew landed me with a batch of well bashed up matchbox/dinky cars and trying to get a good finish on these was not at all easy. Happy Modelling

Thanks its the radiator was a tip someone gave me I thinned gloss black down with thinners to the consistency of water then brush thin coats over the grill, it may take more than one coat, but just keep putting coats on till you get the desired effect. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

KP Very nice finish to the car - whitewall tyres and all looks smashing. Not sure what those figures might be you gave yourself there but they are very good and add to the detail. Happy Modelling
