Hi All Pack 3 arrived today so lets get on with it, first off was to make up the air filters and attach the carburetta's both were then attached to the main engine.Next was to start on the distributor assembly and after both were made up to attach them to the oil casing . The A/C compressor was next added to its bracket, the belts added and then attached to the oil casing making sure to position the two belts on there pulleys. I found it was easyer to add the throttle base to the engine top by inserting the bolts into the throttle body and then fixing in place. The oil casing was now fitted to the engine body. The last job was to make up the silencer assembly and store everything safely till part 4 arrives. Hi All Part 4 arrived so lets get cracking. Stage 11 includes the throttle parts and engine hoses but first it was a case of sorting the high tension leads into there correct number sequence from the distributor this was done and they were then placed into there holes in the engine block. The three blow back hoses were then fitted to there respective locations and lastly the throttle cable was attached to the throttle crankcase base. Stage 12 contains a rear wheal and alternator bracket and alternator parts, the alternator parts were made up 1st then the throttle linkage was placed onto the engine and its pins located into there correct mounting holes. Stage 13 contains the tyre and transmission case but firstly the exhaust pipes provided previously were made up by clipping them together. I then cleaned and used silicone oil on the tyre before fitting it to the hub. Stage 14 contains the right transmission case, adhesive strips, back plate and water pump hose. Now it was time to fit the tail pipes to the silencer assemble and add the decals to each pipe. all was done as per the instructions and some clear lacquer. Finally the tapes provided were used to secure the high tension cables in place and trimmed. Hi Dave Thanks for looking in and your comments ,as for the lacquer I used a method I read somewhere ages ago, firstly I used a water based satin varnish to give the decals something to grip onto then leave to dry then I applied the decals using Micro-set and Micro-sol. Once all was dry I then coated the pipes with klear . This should give a nice overall polish although in the pic it looks a little dull it isnt . Hope this helps. Regards Andy Thanks Andy That helps a lot, I have already give mine a coat of clear Mr Hobby metal primer and was going to apply the decals over that also using the micro sol/set system as I've found it to be really good on other decals I have done. It was just the finaly stage I wasn't sure about as it mentioned laque, I have klear so will just use that then

Hi All Pack 5 arrived this morning so on with the show, the two side brackets were added to the alternator bracket then the gearbox sides were made up for both sides adding the components and the down pipes. The two sides were then joined together and the back plate added. Here the instructions stop but I looked ahead on Steves build and decided to fit the upper engine to the gear box with the base plate. I also added the alternator bracket and belt. The instructions do say that the seats can be laquered so I am doing this Il post pics Of the seats tomorrow when there dry. Lovely work I also built mine today but didn't think to look ahead at Steves, Doh, so it's just dry fitted at the moment, no pictures as I seem to have misplaced the charger for my camera battery
