Engine is looking sweet kp. Really can't wait for mine to turn and so we can build it together. Are you planning on upgrades or doing an out of box version mate? Sean CURRENT BUILDS

Been trying to find pics of the plug leads and trying to find out where the distributor is ( not in the kit) I have been talking to someone on another forum who owns one (I'm not jealous at all) he's on hols at the moment but has said he will send pics when he gets back. I intend to do plug leads if I can find where they go, I'm a bit peeved as the revell 1/12 camaro (a much older kit) has assorted wires and tubing for leads and such, plus instructions on where they go, there is nothing in this kit, I can only add what I can see, it's a shame I could never afford to own one. Ken's the name modeling's the game.

Thanks, one thing I have noticed (considering it is licensed by ford) the detail on the engine is appalling, I will try to make improvements where I can but the engine is very simplified (which on a 1/12 kit I think is terrible ) Ken's the name modeling's the game.

I think it might have something to do with the name on the box rather than the one on the car. Can't beat a tamiya for quality but I have noticed they are getting better CURRENT BUILDS

Our kits are wrong because this bottle is not supposed to be there. I've only just noticed. I think it's suposed to be the brake fluid bottle in the first pic at the back of the engine. What do you think CURRENT BUILDS

s2ksean If you look carefully at your pictures you can see two bolt holes on the front of the right hand cylinder head. I think that the white bottle on the model would be the reservoir for the power steering fluid, and the bolt holes would be where it was mounted. On the Shelby I would think they have moved it to give room for mounting other components. Ken you wont find HT leads as this engine uses coil packs which are under the covers in the middle of the rocker covers, there will be a multi plug on each coil, you wont see them.

I see what you mean but it's not the brake fluid res as that is mounted onto the mastercylinder which is then mounted to the servo which is moulded in the kit, not at home at the moment so can't check but I'm pretty sure it is moulded there. Looking at the engine casting where that goes it looks like part of a water chanel so maybe it's where the thermostat it housed, it's in about the right place if it were, will have to study it some more. Ken's the name modeling's the game.
