Looking good Bilbo, it's certainly a beast and weighs a fair amount. When I got mine I was debating if I should use the airbrush when I start or spray cans due to the size

Iam thinking of weathering it but iam never done weathering before and i dont fancy destroying a good paint job. building the spitfire,RMS Titanic hachette and now starting the u-96 submarine

I went for the airbrush. I have the feeling Spraycan paint always comes out a bit thicker than when I airbrush and I didn't want to loose detail on the zimmerit.

Glad you got the gap issue sorted. I would definitely go with the epoxy route if you want to take the roof off for display, would look so much better that way

If you look at my build you will see how I did the turret as a cut the post out so I could take the roof off. I didnt use any glue, just the screws and then filled the gaps on the outside.

Looks cool, makes me want to pull mine out and start on it but I just have too much going on at the moment to start another one. I dont want to start falling into the trap of not finishing anything

Looking good, I think I will be jumping around the order of the build myself when I start mine, that's one of the advantages I guess of having the full kit
|
|
|
That is coming along really well! I didn't build mine in the order they said, found it easier to be honest!
