Thanks for the encouragement. The floor is self-adhesive vinyl screen patch kit, cut to shape and stuck to a polystyrene sheet.

I finally received my final issues, and have started adding the details to the engine bay cover. I discovered that the instructions are very misleading. After getting confused about the apparently inconsistent placement of a couple of parts, I decided to use the photos of the real model as an additional guide. Wow. The installation instructions for many of the greeblies are incorrect (especially regarding orientation) and are inconsistent with the finished diagram. Not only that, but the instructions and the finished diagram do not match the original model. Has anyone else noticed this?

Thanks for the interest! I had to pack my build in the basement for a few weeks because we had visitors and needed the room.
I crushed my Paragrafix cockpit when packing it up :(
But I'll post soon. I have been spending some time using an Arduino to drive some Neopixels as engine replacement.
And I'm debating how much more time to spend customizing the interior...

I am back on track with my Falcon build. I have attached the scratch-built equipment bay to the cargo hold. I had to make an extension for the corridor because the corner was too tight. The 3D printed piece fit first try! tunko attached the following image(s):

I also stumbled upon these boys here while debugging some electronics - I thought they were perfect for the Falcon. They are snap-on ferrite beads for suppressing RF noise in cables. Remove the ferrite part and they make fantastic cargo containers. Any they open too! The Shapeways 3D printed container is in the middle for size comparison. tunko attached the following image(s):
