Its looking very good Stefan. You have shaped the stern really well. Much cleaner than mine. I have to sort it a bit more.
Well done. On to the planking next. !!!!

Thanks Gents, The sanding of the stern started to bore me so I used a mouse-sander to get it nice and flush with the false keel. I also made part 31 out of the duplicate part 30 I received. It was a little tricky to get the curve and the spacing of the gallery supports right, but with a litte basic maths and using the 2x part 34s as templates it worked out nicely. Once the first planks are down the rest went very quicly. The little "cutter" plankbender works very well. Bow Port Side Starbord with cutaway Stern (Starbord side) Stern (Port side) For some reason the planks on the Port side started rising faster than the Port side resulting in me having to trim plank nr 4 quite severly to make plank nr 5 level with the galley supports. I'll be painting the hull so I decided not to remove all the Portside planks and trim each one a little. Thanks again for everyone's feedback, I'm really learning a tremendous amount by going through all your build dairies.

On closer inspection the Gallery support planks were not wide enough, and the top of the last layer of planks needed to come up higher past the Gallery "fillets"? so I took them off and re-did that section 1st set of Gunports cut 2nd set of Gunports marked Bow Stern

Stern gunports And the starboard side The last row of planks that meet at the bow rise slightly above the formers, I guess that will be sanded back at a later stage The self-made 'dummy-gun-backing-planks' in place. You can see the little grooves on the planks where they have been cut using the supplied plank-bender The 3rd and 4th last ribs started to bend away from one another quite severely so I have to keep them in place until all the top-planking has been completed

The top-part planking is now done. Stern Full Starboard side Starboard to Stern Bow Now I'm just waiting in nervous anticipation for the arrival of issues 32-36 to start planking the bottom.

So far so good. Great job. I bet you can't wait to get started with lower hull Be careful while doing it because each wrongly shaped plank there wil be real pain later on. Keep it easy and as everyone will tell you measure twice and cut once. Great job

Thanks so much gentlemen! The next order was dispatched today so hopefully it will be in my grubby paws within the next 2 weeks I learnt my lesson on the galley support planks where 'good-enough' did not turn out that way and had to be redone. From following all your build dairies, I'm going to be extra careful to start of right and not allow any clinkering.

Nice build keep it up. The planking the lower pat of the hull I found more difficult and requires more work. You will have to be carefull that you do not damage the top layers of the planking while doing the lower hull.
Happy building
