Looks an interesting project As for the F100C decals, there isnt a huge difference in the tail shape so you could get away with a set of F100D decals, you could just use the decal stars and mask - paint the red part of the tail Steve

I will be starting with the T38. I will post some pictures of the kit later on and build will start shortly (waiting on some gloss white paint to arrive).

I will be starting with the T38. This is a fairly simple kit.The interior detail is OK with decals for the instrument panels and the fit of the parts seems good. The panels lines are pretty good on most parts. I ordered a set of Vagabond decals for the Thunderbirds livery. Carl darbyvet attached the following image(s):

SO I am starting to not love this kit.The cockpit detail is not that great.I ordered an eduard detail set for the cockpit. This detail set was made for the Trumpeter T38 kit and the instrument panels are a different shape than the wolfpack kit . The wheel wells are also awful on the wolfpack kit and the landing gear does not fit well into the holes in the wings. So I ordered trumpeters t-38 kit and I am hoping the decals I have will fit. darbyvet attached the following image(s):

Sorry to read of your troubles so early into this mammoth project Carl. I hope the Trumpeter kit turns out to be better than the Wolfpack version and that your decals will fit, though I am sure with your modelling skills you will overcome any problems and I hope that you have more luck going forward with this.
Well done, a great project!!

Trumpeters t38 arrived.Much nicer kit.I compared sizes with the Wolfpack and it is very close.I think he decals will fit fine. The fuselage piece on the bottom in the photo is the Trumpeter one.Much nicer surface detail and nice wheel well detail and the cockpit is nicer. so the Thunderbirds are go again.More updates soon. Started work on the cockpit.I added some photetched detail to the seats and now its off to the spray booth for painting. The Eduards cockpit panels are prepainted and self adhesive so they will be applied once the cockpit tub is painted. There are some photoetched details to add to the landing gear (brake lines and oleo struts) and speed brakes. darbyvet attached the following image(s):
