Parts 11-12-13-14 and 15 cover the last bits of the engine and bulkhead. One thing I noticed straight away THERE IS NO DIPSTICK! so I decided to put that right and add one!! After some research,I new what it was like, and where it fitted on the engine, I then went about getting the parts I first got some 1 mm brass tubeing, and piano wire as the actual measure part, I then needed a chrome collar to put between the handle of the stick and the tube ( for this I chose a servo screw from a model shop ) Here is the result:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

I will place some thin oil in the tube when the car is finished, and I will be able to "check the oil" The next job is to "Mod" the alternator, by giving it a real looking magnet and fan. Ok lets do it.first you will see the engine, end on showing shots of the two halves of the engine screwed together, and the fly wheel assembly (the red fan etc) the alternator is on the right side as you view the photo. Next photo is the alternator and pully. the object of this "mod" is to make and fit a fan with blades, so I took the base of a been can, and cut out (with sharp scissors)a small circle. Next, again with sharp scissors I cut the blade of the fan and fitted it to the alternator. more to come next time------------!!!! The tools I am using on this build are as follows:- 1) A pair of gloves to protect the surface of the model, from grease etc. 2) A good set of large handled small screwdrivers. Adhesives are not required for this build. If you are doing "Mods" to this build ( Enhancments do lend themselves to this build) you will require other tools. The next issues cover the bulk head around the engine. I modified the radiator expansion tank by fileing off the plastic over flow pipe and fitting a 1mm thick real piece of tubeing. All wood and metal construction, will go great in the boot of the DB5 MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

Today I have decided to do some more work on the engine, I am going to "mod" gaskets for the exhaust manifold and the 2 cylinder head covers. My reseach shows a copper gasket on the real DB5,and so I have purchased an A4 orange plastic card:- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.

I then cut 3 pieces of the plastic card to reproduce my gaskets ( I do not want these gaskets to shout out at me when they are fitted, just a hint to know that they are there ):- MWG attached the following image(s): MWG BUILD DIARIES: HMS VICTORY, SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, SAN FRANCISCO II, HMS HOOD, HMS ENDEAVOUR LONGBOAT, HMS VICTORY X-SECTION, 007 DB5, NISSAN GTR, CUTTY SARK, RB7, AKAGI, BARK HMS ENDEAVOUR, HUMMER H1, MITSUBISHI ZERO.
