Hi May Welcome to the forum and enjoy your builds. One tip with superglue is to save the small foil dishes you get in packs of individual apple pies or any cake that has them and after washing them just put a dab of superglue in the foil dish and apply it to the part to be glued with a cocktail stick. Hi May Well you have certainly got your work cut out with all these models that your family are building. I am not really a Sci Fi enthusiast, but out of interest I have been having a look at this model in the video build and I must say, Iam quite impressed what this model can do once completed. Being a poor old pensioner I have to watch the pennies, as I am already subscribing to the Honda CB750 which will take me up to August 2017 before I have all the issues. I have also just subscribed to the E-Type Jaguar, and set up a Build Diary, as you already know, so once I have finished paying for the Honda, I might take out a subscription for R2D2. As I have just become a great great granddad of a beautiful baby boy, this model would become something to leave to him in my will, when the time comes. So I might take the plunge later in the year. I will be watching your build with interest along with all the other R2D2 builds. BUILDING - HONDA CB750 - HAYNES V8 VISIBLE ENGINE
NEXT BUILD - JAGUAR E-TYPE

Hi, Geoff My youngest son Charlie is crazy about Star Wars his room is practically dedicated to the subject so when a friend of mine told me about this build I had to give it a go for him, which was the start of us turning into the crazy part work family we now all have our own collections on the go - 5 in total and I keep on looking at the Countach Congratulation's on becoming a G G Granddad this R2-D2 will certainly make a wonderful gift for him - in many years to come May.

Hi, so my neighbour came around last night with a package for me apparently she saw the postman walking away and offered to take it in, good job she came around as he didn't leave a card but never mind cause the package turned out to be my 2nd R2 delivery featuring issues 3 and 4 I actually can't make up my mind if it's a week early or a week late but hey it's here so who cares Issue 3 No problems here both the magazine instructions and the video diary were nice and straight forward for us to follow, here's some pics MFG attached the following image(s):

Hi, Issue 4 Everything went ok until we came to test the lights having no spare batteries I decided to take the ones out of my daughters Furby, which did not go down very well, so to ease the situation I put them back in the Furby and then Charlie kicked of because his lights now didn't work. To settle the issue I got all three of my kids together and headed of to the local Spar It's only around the corner so I decided to walk but of course it was raining so all three of them moaned all the way there and all the way back - it was one of those nights when I was glad they were all in bed Anyway as far as the build goes, everything was ok I'd read about some issues with the lights but ours were fine. Well that's it for this delivery here's some pics and thanks for dropping by May. MFG attached the following image(s):

May Coming along very well. Its amazing how you can stay in all day and the minute you move a parcel arrives and then a card in the letterbox saying its gone back. Was looking on youtube earlier as there is a guy on there starting the deagostini x wing fighter and that does look really good. All these great models coming out its difficult to know which to go for. Hope the build continues well. Happy Modelling

Hi, Thank you Tony Yes Star Wars fans are a bit spoilt for choice at the moment, I looked at the Millennium Falcon for him as well but at his age (8) he'd probably want to play with it and it's an expensive model to break so I don't think it will be a good choice for him, As for me well the Countach keeps calling me but I'll see how I get on with the E-Type first though May.
