Back board added.

I then fitted the chassis to the main body, painted it matt black and dry brushed with matt aluminium. The exhaust was fitted and left in white metal as this looks more realistic in my opinion. I also drilled out a 0.5mm hole in the tail pipe and filled with black paint. You can also see i glued an M3 nut to the underside; this is where the main bolt through the oak plinth will screw into. I touched it up afterwards were some of the paint had flaked off.

Tail lights fitted.

I then made a spare wheel carrier out of plastic sheet and part of the brass rod for one of the axles as a centre. I glued the cut down plastic sheet and fixed it to the supplied luggage rack, drilling out a hole to fix the brass rod centre.

The wheels i bought separately from the same supplier [K&R Replicas]. These are a modest price and come as photo etch. Two spoked etches per wheel are glued together with internal spacers added and finished off with knock off hubs. Very nicely detailed. I painted them matt aluminium to mimic the real thing.

In this photo the spare wheel is fixed in place.

In this photo i added the seats and handbrake. The seats were painted in tartan red, not gloss, as they had dried slightly unevenly with a mixture of matt and semi-gloss areas. This actually worked out well and really mimics real leather as per the real thing. The handbrake handle was painted matt black.
