Eagle wrote:Welcome to the forum Tony: I have a neck injury that will only allow a limited time to model while looking downwards, so most of my modeling is done standing up with a height extension on my bench to allow me to work looking straight ahead. not the easiest way to work, but better than nothing, one does what he can.
I do feel for you with your building problems. Im lucky with my MS which does allow me to work most of the day but one handed does present certain limitations although with clamps, crocodile clips and vices do make the job possible. Once i manage to reduce my picture sizes i will put up a few to show what i get upto. Regards Tony

I have been watching the various builds on the forum, and a question springs to mind.
As construction of this model has been started at different times some members are further advanced than others which begs the question how can i get further ahead than i am.
Has anyone any advice on this subject.

I can't quite understand why I am finding building my fourth wheel so difficult.
After 3 attempts to get it right I have had to re-study the previous wheels Ive built. This may sound strange but something Im doing is wrong but I can't see what.
How do other members of the forum get on with what is possibly the most difficult part of the build so far.

The wheels are a bit fiddly but TBH, I haven't really had much bother with them.
I use a dot cyano glue on the outer end of the instead of d/s tape so it means it takes a little longer to build a layer as I wait about 30 seconds for the glue to set before adding the next spoke.
Other than that, no probs really although the last set of spokes to fit are the most fiddly.

Same stuff. TBH, I just buy the larger bottles from a local hardware store - £1.99 for about 10 x the amount in a Superglue tube.

Has anyone looked at parts 44, the differential and disk plus callipers.
Well to start with I compared them to the Monogram diff which is proportianly bigger and more in keeping with pictures online. The disks are also very small 23mm on the Deag part and 29mm on the Monogram part.
The callipers again look very odd and are very undersized and completely the wrong configuration.
This all seems a shame in a model of this quality and size. I know modellers are expected to correct kit parts but I think this is bit to far, I should be interested what the forum thinks
